Best hamburgers ever service great, ambiance is perfect it's a real bar every time I go thru Park Rapids I stop, it doesn't get any better than the ROYAL BAR

This weekend trip seemed to be about great burgers in northern MN. The Royal Bar was no exception. Great burger in a classic local bar.

So sad, used to be good. Had horrible service, a 45 minute wait for food, cold fries - total waste of time.

Awesome Burgers with onions... we attended the 2nd street stage, music... a lot of fun... we ran into grab dinner. !!!

I grew up in the area and have been getting Royal Californias at the Royal for almost 20 years now. SO good. My personal favorite is getting a side of ranch for dipping. Never had a bad burger there! Four stars just because sometimes the service isn't great. Small town. Overall though, worth a visit!

The BEST California Burgers for 500 miles! However, SLOWEST service ever!!! Then received the wrong food. This is the 2nd time we received food that took over 75 mi utes...

They claim that "possibly the best burger you ever get in northern Minnesota" can be gotten here. That lured me in and I was not disappointed. Lively environment, good food and nice dive bar vibe. Visit ... you'll have a good time.

A great burger and cold beer staff is friendly too

Pretty good burger/bar joint. The times I've been here (even weekends) usually the only server is also the bartender. So service is friendly, but might be slow. Burgers are great.

If I'm in town for a quick lunch, this is where I go. Good burgers, fast service, cold beer. If you don't like domestic beers, remember that you are in Park Rapids and that's what the locals like. I've been here many times for lunch or a Vikings game on TV and I love it.

It is the perfect small town burger bar. Done on the flaptop, burgers are perfectly greasy with crisp edges. Staff is friendly and experienced. Great collection of "stuff" adds to the experience. Can't go wrong

We are here enjoying vacation and came into town for a burger. My husband and his parents tried the Royal Bar last fall and said it was delicious. So we ventured in there to give it a try, it was fantastic! The food was great and the staff was awesome. It was was so good my daughters and I went back the next day! It will be our families new tradition.

Burgers were great, fries were tasty. Wish we could have made it there more than once on our trip.

Love the food! Not a bar for dancing but there is a juke box and plenty of seating available. Pool tables and dart boards 👍

A fun, smoke free bar & grill. Everyone needs to try the Royal Burger. THE BEST in my opinion. I do not drink alcohol, but the burger is worth the stop. Bartenders have time for you, they are busy at times, but they keep a responsible eye on their establishment.

Possibly the best burgers in northern Minnesota. Fantastic fries as well. This place used to be the Royal Theater back in the day. There is also a actual partial airplane hanging from the ceiling. This is a happening place.
